The indigenous Otavaleños are famous for weaving textiles, usually made of wool (that is sometimes as black as a raven), which are sold at the famous Saturday market. COTOPAXI NATIONAL PARK

                 

Discover with us the impressive Cotopaxi volcano and experience the beauty
of the “Cotopaxi National Park”

During the journey we will travel through the mountains of the Andes and
We will see wonderful landscapes of the haciendas of the Highlands.

Inside the Cotopaxi National Park we will make a stop in Limpiopungo Lake to
walk around the area and see the birds of the “Paramos”

Cotopaxi National Park is conveniently accessible from Quito, Ecuador’s capital, making it an ideal destination for day trips or extended explorations. The park is open year-round, but the best time to visit is during the dry season, from June to September, when the skies are clearest.

It is better to star the tour at 07:00 

We can have breakfast in a cozy coffe place at the Entrance of the National Park 

with an amazing view of the Cotopaxi Volcano when the enviroment is clear.

On our tour we arrive at the Limpiopungo Lagoon where we take a walk around them, and if the weather is clear we can bring the car closer so that we can better admire the majesty of the Cotopaxi Volcano. If you would like to get to the first refuge of Cotopaxi, you have to rent vans that go to the base, since the road is not suitable for cars or small cars.
The rental cost of the vans is $60

FOR HIKING LOVERS 

The Cotopaxi National Park offers a variety of options for hiking lovers, to the east is the caldera of the Rumiñahui volcano which can be accessed by a marked route that the further we go, the landscape becomes increasingly more

amazing. This walk lasts approximately four hours round trip.

Additional fee if you want to do the ascent hike to the Rumiñahui Volcano caldera is $20 per person.

 to adjust to avoid altitude sickness.

RELAX IN PAPALLACTA

    Papallacta, famous for its volcanic springs in the midst of a stunning environment of forests and slopes. Termas de Papallacta is located on the eastern side of the Andes and is considered to be the entrance to the Amazon. These hot springs are located at 3,000 meters above the sea level and are surrounded by mountain cloud forest. Papallacta boasts a variety of pools of different temperature, whose water is odourless and colourless, known for its healing properties
